    Keith Capehart

    Keith has been a locksmith in Biloxi, Mississippi, for 21 years. As the co-owner of Lock Tech, he is an automotive/motorcycle specialist who has become the “go-to person” bike shops contact for their keys. A personal interest in motorcycles has fueled his passion for the specialty, and Keith has developed an extensive knowledge of the many motorcycle models on the road today. Since 2007, he has taught classes for various organizations, including Just Cars, Montana Locksmith Association, Texas Locksmith Association, Yankee Security Convention, and several events hosted by various locksmith suppliers. After being exposed to the different lock readers offered for automotive work, Keith and his brother Brian decided to adapt the technology to the motorcycle market. The Accu-Reader was born and instantly hit with locksmiths across North America.

  • Jason Frank - AKG Academy

    Jason Frank

    Jason Frank is a 2nd generation locksmith who began working full-time in 1985 and is well versed in nearly all aspects of the locksmithing industry. Jason currently specializes in high security automotive key generation and programming. As a certified Original Lishi instructor and author of the Hands-on High-Security book series, Jason is a sought-after instructor for his ability to teach students on the functionality of high-security automotive locking systems and how to overcome failures. Owning and operating his own company since 1997, Jason holds numerous certifications: CRL, RST, CJS, CMS, CAL. He also moderates on several international locksmithing forums.

  • JB Gates - AKG Academy

    J.B. Gates

    J.B. was born in the Central Coast of California. In 2001, J.B. and his family relocated to Missouri and continued as a two-way radio technician. J.B. purchased a two-way radio repair shop servicing mostly public safety customers in 2003. As the market shifted, J.B. diversified and opened a Locksmith Shop. Soon, he found a void in his market and started offering EEPROM key programming and automotive module flashing and configuration. In 2017, J.B. started part-time with International Key Supply providing Tech Support. He transitioned to full-time and continues in this capacity today. As part of his full-time duties, J.B. teaches classes, both in-person and virtually. This continuing education is a highlight for J.B. in his career. As the Technical Support Director, J.B. brings over 25 years of electronics and locksmithing experience. When J.B. is not working, he enjoys attending services at his church, traveling in his 5th wheel, taking cruises with his wife, and entertaining his grandchildren.

  • Leo Meres - AKG Academy

    Leo Meres

    Description goes Leo Meres is a second-generation locksmith with 43 years in the industry. Meres became the owner of Bill’s Locksmith, Inc. in the Greater Daytona Beach, FL area in 1986. His career in general locksmithing required training in all phases of the industry, including safe work, and in 2001 Leo became certified by ALOA as a Master Locksmith. In 1989, he began working at Daytona Auto Auction and became an automotive specialist while still maintaining his interest and training in general locksmithing and safe work. Living in the Daytona area provided extensive exposure to motorcycle work, at one time generating an average of more than 50 motorcycle keys in an average month. From 2007-2010 Leo was a writer for The Independent Locksmith Journal, concentrating on automotive and motorcycle-related topics. He began teaching with Just Cars organization in 2008– beginning with impressioning and switching to motorcycle keys in May of 2009. Meres began working for Dent Wizard International in September of 2008 as an automotive locksmith at the Daytona Auto Auction.

  • Jeremy Phillips - AKG Academy

    Jeremy Phillips

    Jeremy Phillips is a working locksmith from sunny Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Despite the fact that he is more known for automotive Locksmithing, Masterkeying is his true passion.

    When he is not breaking into cars he spends his time debating the relative merits of a Rotated Design over a Selective one, and fighting fellow locksmiths over the correct method to Maison key a cylinder. He has worked with WH Software for most of his 25 year career, and has trained people all over the world in their industry leading Masterkeying software, ProMaster Masterkeying. He wrote the Masterkeying glossary for the Australasian Master Locksmith Association as well as the current Masterkeying exam. Jeremy is married with a six year old daughter who has no idea how to eliminate Ghost codes. He loves her anyway.

  • Harry Sher - AKG Academy

    Harry Sher

    Harry Sher is a Certified Master Locksmith, a Certified Professional Safe Technician, a Certified GSA Container and Vault Technician and Inspector, and also a Certified Fire Door Inspector. He has been a locksmith since the 1950’s. Harry is an active member of the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA), the Safe and Vault Technicians Association (SAVTA), the International Association of Investigative Locksmiths (IAIL) as well as numerous local associations. He is a former ALOA board member and past president of the Ozark Professional Locksmith Association and the Missouri-Kansas Locksmith Association as well as past vice-president of the Oklahoma Master Locksmith Association. Harry has over 37 years of Federal Service, teaching Federal Officers beginning in 1967. Most recently, he was responsible for building a training facility for the National Nuclear Security Administration. He has taught classes for many local and regional locksmith associations as well as ALOA (ACE Instructor of the year award, 2007) and SAVTA. Harry teaches safe and vault classes such as Safe Work for Dummies, GSA Containers and general locksmithing classes such as Interchangeable Core, Master Keying, and Defense Against Methods of Entry.

  • Donnie Sherfield - AKG Academy

    Donnie Sherfield

    Donnie Sherfield of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is a licensed locksmith working in Middle Tennessee since 1998. His skills include basic Automotive, Commercial, and Residential Locksmith program installation, troubleshooting Locksmith services, and BIN file manipulation for vehicle computers. Additionally, high-security key programming, EEPROM reading, writing, and repairing; Transponder key making and programming. Since 2017, Donnie has provided technical support for Midwest Keyless. He was recently appointed as a board member for the new automotive locksmith division of ALOA named IAAL (International Association of Automotive Locksmiths). It has become his hobby to help follow locksmiths master their craft.

    JK Walker of Morristown, TN is the owner of Mobile Automotive Diagnostics. M.A.D. services the East Tennessee area with OEM programming, custom programming solutions and automotive keys. JK also provides programming support and solutions across the US as a NASTF AIR Provider.

  • Bill Youngson - AKG Academy

    Bill Youngson

    Bill hails from Valley Stream, New York. He is a full-service Locksmith with over 36 years of locksmith experience as an owner operator with an emphasis on Automotive Locksmithing. During his 36 years of experience, Bill has been an instructor and mentor, focusing on career development and learning. In 2013, he began as an instructor for Midwest Keyless. During this time, Bill introduced Original Lishi to Midwest Keyless and set up a Master Distributor platform with assistance from industry sales professionals. Additionally, Bill set up a training schedule format to educate and assist in developing new Lishi tools. Outside of the Locksmithing world, Bill has spent time working with the NY Federal Fire Academy, providing outstanding results in reducing Fire fatalities city-wide
